SideTalk is mostly a research tool. It's been initially developed by Chantal Intrator, Ingrid Monteiro and Eduardo Tolmasquim, as an extension to Firefox built on top of IBM's CoScripter (developed by Allen Cypher and team at IBM Research Almaden). Research with SideTalk has been carried out for purposes of accessibility and education.
